Collecting May 1st - May 28th with the event on May 31st!
In 2019, after the death of AJ Freund, our community joined together to pack over 4,000 bags for kids entering foster care. Hundreds of local businesses and thousands of community members gathered much-needed supplies such as pajamas, personal care items, socks, underwear, stuffed animals, and toys.
The community outreach from this event is what launched our Second Bridge program. Six years after our first event, we are extremely excited to bring it back but in an all-new way.
This year, the community will have multiple options to support this event. We will have tags that will be available at businesses, much like giving trees. There will be drop boxes at close to 50 locations within McHenry County. You will also be able to purchase from wish lists or donate to our giving fund.
