Our impact is measured in more than numbers. It’s found in the relief of a need met, the hope sparked in hard moments, and the brighter tomorrows we help create together.

In 2024

  • 4,712 children served through all KIN programs — a  23% increase from 2023.
  • 431 children connected with family in a safe, home-like setting at the Visitation Home.
  • 1,000+ children received holiday gifts, and 150 children attended our annual holiday party
  • 2,591 children received clothing, shoes, and other essentials through the Second Bridge program

  • Relieving immediate burdens by providing clothing, shoes, personal care items, bedding, and toys at no cost

  • Creating dignity and choice through The Bridge, a free store designed to make families feel welcome and respected

  • Strengthening family bonds in a safe, comfortable space at the Visitation Home

  • Bringing joy and normalcy with holiday gifts, birthday surprises, and special events

  • Offering connection and support through playdates and gatherings for foster, adoptive, and kinship families

  • Meeting urgent needs quickly with direct deliveries to families and partner agencies

  • Walking alongside caregivers with understanding, resources, and encouragement

Their magic blessed me the first time I met them...
When I started fostering about four years ago, I started with a crib and a few hand-me-down outfits and toys. And then "the skies opened up," when I was connected with KIN's Second Bridge Program. I now have my fourth foster child and each one has been gifted with beautiful outfits, new toys and many "mom" items the child doesn't realize are needed. Their magic blessed me the first time I met them and I continue to be in awe with how their magic continues to spread to many more families.

We had nothing...
When we were given a baby we had nothing. They helped get us a crib and new mattress. They brought over diapers wipes and sheets We needed help and they were there no questions asked.

KIN stepped into our lives and made it better.
Words can not describe how much the KIN program has helped me. In 2018, my beloved daughter who is also the mother of my two granddaughters, had passed away suddenly. This event led to my granddaughters moving into my home. Adjusting was a struggle at times. There were times when I was having trouble getting items that my disabled autistic granddaughter needed, such as wipes, diapers, winter boots, a coat, etc. This was when KIN stepped into our lives, and made it better. I can't imagine what my families life would have been like without the help from KIN. My family is extremely grateful for the KIN organization and everyone who makes opportunities like this possible.

It is truly a blessing to have this resource available to us.
In a world where foster parents and kids in care can feel so alone, KIN and Second bridge show us that we aren’t. They are kind, thoughtful, and helpful in so many ways! When a sibling is place with you in an emergency, a gigantic bag is waiting for you on your doorstep with everything you need. When the kids outgrow their clothes, they are waiting for you at their warehouse, when the kids have visits with their parents their staff is waiting to greet you. The relationships and resources they have given to us have been irreplaceable! We feel safe, loved, and taken care of with everything they do. I am so thankful for KIN and second bridge and everything they do for the kids and families in care. It is truest a blessing to have this resource available to us.
