Follett Corporation Donates Sales to KIN
Opened in November 2022, the purpose of the employee bookstore is to not only offer books to team members at discounted prices, but to use the proceeds from sales to support the local community.
Edythe’s Book Nook is named in honor of Edythe Benepe — great-great-grandmother to Britten Follett. She was a journalist for a Chicago newspaper when in 1901 she met and later married C.W. Follett, founder of Follett Corp. The couple had four sons all the while Edythe worked full-time running one of the Follett bookstores.
KIN had the opportunity to tour the Book Nook. It is incredible. It is a perfect combination of a school library and everyone's favorite little bookstore. It was extremely welcoming and cozy. A perfect place to cozy up and read a good book. While there, Follett graciously donated $1,300 from book sales to KIN along with a few signed books for our store. We are extremely grateful to have Follett in our community and for their support for kids.
