Family Resources
**Please check back soon – we are updating our links for registration and resources.
Kids In Need of McHenry County is a referral-based organization. All families must register before making shopping appointments, submitting requests or taking part in any school supply or gift events. To register, families MUST have a referral from a case worker, organization social worker, or school social worker.
Step 1: REGISTER
We welcome our registered families to shop or submit requests up to 4 times per year combined. They are also encouraged to sign up for school supplies, Winter gear, and holiday gifts. Before doing any of this, our families must register.
Step 2: START RECEIVING SERVICES
Schedule a shopping appointment
The Bridge is our free store. It is located in Crystal Lake near the corner of Rt 31 & Rt 176. We keep clothes, shoes, socks, underwear, toiletries, bedding, toys and much more stocked for our families.
Submit a request for pick up or delivery
Our families are also given the option to submit a request that will be filled by our volunteers. Requests are available to be picked up from our Crystal Lake donation center. Delivery is also available for those who do not have transportation.
