Kids In Need of McHenry County is a referral-based organization. All families are required to register before scheduling shopping appointments, submitting requests, or participating in school supply or gift events. Registration must be supported by a referral from a case worker, organization social worker, or school social worker.
Register
We welcome our registered families to shop or submit requests up to four times per year, combined. They are also encouraged to sign up for winter gear and holiday gift programs. Please note that registration is required before accessing any of these services.
Schedule
The Bridge is our free store, located in Crystal Lake near the corner of Rt 31 and Rt 176. It offers a wide variety of essentials for our families, including clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, toiletries, bedding, toys, and more.
Request
Families also have the option to submit a request, which will be filled by our dedicated volunteers. Completed requests can be picked up at our Crystal Lake donation center. For those without access to transportation, delivery is available.
