KIN Baby Shower

We are hosting a virtual baby shower from January 15 – February 28. We have created an online wish list to assist with our biggest baby/toddler needs.

During a “typical” pregnancy, the family has 9 months to prepare. They have time to prepare the nursery and their families and friends throw baby showers where they receive items needed for a baby.

When a baby or toddler is placed into a foster home, the family has hours to, at most, days to prepare for their arrival. The family does not know gender, size, age, or sometimes even quantity when they receive that phone call. After the child is placed, they rarely have the “welcome” gifts that other families receive when welcoming a new baby home. This is where KIN comes in. We provide the family with everything needed that they do not have. Clothes, blankets, a crib, pacifiers, bath items, and anything else required.

Please help us keep what we need stocked so we can continue to supply what is needed for the babies and toddlers in the foster care system.

Another way we assist families during this time is through our Kindness Kits. This gives them a variety of things and each one is unique. The one thing that each of them do contain is a gift card for doordash or a local restaurant so the family can focus on the little one and bonding and not have to worry about cooking.
