Kids In Need of McHenry County is a referral-based organization. Agencies play a vital role in connecting families to our services. Before any family can schedule shopping appointments, submit requests, or participate in gift or seasonal events, they must be registered through a referral provided by a case worker, organizational social worker, or school social worker.
As a referring agency, you have several options for connecting families with Kids In Need of McHenry County. You can refer a family and have them complete the registration themselves, register the family directly on their behalf, or register yourself in order to submit requests or appointments on their behalf.

Register

As a registered agency worker, you are welcome to shop or submit requests on behalf of families up to four times per year, combined. Registering yourself means that you will be the one shopping and submitting requests for the families you represent.

Schedule

The Bridge is our free store, located in Crystal Lake near the corner of Rt 31 and Rt 176. It offers a wide variety of essentials for our families, including clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, toiletries, bedding, toys, and more.
We invite you to shop on behalf of your families.

Request

Agency workers also have the option to submit requests on behalf of families, which will be filled by our dedicated volunteers. Completed requests can be picked up at our Crystal Lake donation center. Delivery is also available to your office.

You are always welcome to shop and submit requests on behalf of your families. However, the best way for us to fully support them is by having the families register directly with KIN. You can complete the registration form using their information or share this link with them: https://www.kinmc.org/register.
